- Daniel Bottner grew up on a tobacco farm in Southern Maryland.  His father & grandfather crafted custom tools.

- Having direct access to metal & woodworking shops, Daniel learned the art of working with hand & machine tools early in life.

- In his endeavor to create safer knives, Daniel's approach was to customize blade geometry & optimize every touch point in the knife handle to the individual user's hand size.

- His custom-crafted handmade knives fit the individual's hand like a glove.  These knives are safer & easier to work with than those produced for the mass market.
